CONSOL Energy Redeems 7.875% Notes Due 2012
PITTSBURGH, March 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- CONSOL Energy Inc.
today announced that it will redeem all of its outstanding 7.875% Notes due March 1, 2012 (the 'Notes') in accordance with the terms of the indenture governing the Notes. The redemption will be effective April 11, 2011 ('Redemption Date'). The redemption price as provided in the Notes will equal the greater of (i) 100% of the principal amount to be redeemed, or (ii) the sum of the present values of the remaining scheduled payments of principal and interest on the Notes being redeemed, discounted to the Redemption Date on a semiannual basis at the treasury rate plus 45 basis points, as determined by the reference treasury dealers on the third business day prior to the Redemption Date, plus, in each case, accrued and unpaid interest thereon to the Redemption Date.The net proceeds from the recent notes offering of $250 million of 6.375% senior notes due 2021 will be the principal source of funding for the redemption.
