Riverstone Reports More Positive Gold Results from Karma
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 04/26/11 -- Riverstone Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE: RVS)(OTCQX: RVREF)(FRANKFURT: 3RV) reports additional positive results from the reverse circulation drilling program on the Goulagou I deposit, part of the company's Karma Gold Project in Burkina Faso, West Africa (See Map on website: http://www.riverstoneresources.com/i/Maps/2011-04-25_NR_Goulagou.jpg). Significant results include intercepts of 24 metres grading 1.87 g/t gold, 60 metres grading 0.89 g/t gold, and 8 metres grading 4.83 g/t gold. Most of the holes were drilled on intermediate fences to reduce the fence spacing of previous drilling from 100 metres to 50 metres. The holes are part of an on-going drill program on Goulagou I, comprising approximately 13,000 metres, designed to confirm and expand the gold resources.
'We are pleased with these excellent results from Goulagou I,' commented M.D. McInnis, President and CEO of Riverstone Resources Inc. 'We are encountering portions of the deposit which has exceptional grade. In addition, we have signed contracts for six drill rigs so we are in a position to continue aggressively drilling this deposit, as well as the other deposits, that comprise the Karma project.'
Results from fifty-one holes have been received. The majority of the holes have wide intercepts exceeding 0.50 g/t gold. Significant intercepts are reported in the table below:
