Texas Rare Earth Resources Announces Supplemental Results for Nine Historic Drill Holes at Round Top Mountain

16.05.2011  |  Business Wire

Results reconfirm expectations of the significant size and uniformity
of heavy rare earth metals content

Texas Rare Earth Resources Corp. (OTCQB:TRER), a heavy rare earths
exploration, development and mining company, today announced the rare
earth elements found in its on-going analysis of nine historic drill
holes at its unique Round Top Mountain project.

The averages for the individual rare earth elements and other rare
metals for these holes are listed below. These averages are calculated
from 535 samples aggregating 3,582 linear feet of drill samples.

Marc LeVier, Chief Executive Officer of Texas Rare Earth Resources
Corp., noted, 'These supplemental results provide further confirmation
of our earlier conclusions on the rare earth potential of the Round Top
Project, specifically the size, grade and elemental make-up of the
rhyolite body. The massive tonnage of the Round Top Project along with
the apparent uniform rare earth grades validates our continued
excitement of the potential at Round Top Mountain.?

A study conducted by the Texas Bureau of Geology, published in the
Geological Society of America, Special Paper 246 in 1990, estimated the
size of the rhyolite body to be approximately 1.6 billion metric tons.

Texas Rare Earth Resources, previously announced on March 28, 2011, the
total rare earth values and heavy rare earth percentages for these nine
historic drill holes it has continues to analyze. These drill holes,
which penetrated the entire thickness of the mineralized rhyolite body,
were widely distributed roughly defining an area of 6,000 feet by 4,000
feet within its approximate 7,000 foot known diameter. The percentage of
rare earth elements within the drill hole data was found to be in the
range of 69% to 71%, with the median being 70.5%.

About Texas Rare Earth

Texas Rare Earth Resources Corp.'s primary focus is developing its Round
Top Mountain rare earth?beryllium-uranium project which also includes
niobium, tantalum and gallium. Round Top is located in Hudspeth County,
Texas, 85 miles east of El Paso. Independently published data indicates
the property may contain more than one billion metric tons of rhyolite
containing rare earths with a 67% ratio of heavy to light rare earths.
Prior exploratory work also indicates what management believes to be a
potentially large high-grade beryllium resource. Uranium is present in
the deposit and preliminary sampling shows grades of over 1% U exposed
in the mine. Texas Rare Earth's common stock trades on the OTCQB Market
tier under the symbol 'TRER.?
