Abcourt Mines Inc.: Additional Excellent Drilling Results Obtained at the Eastern End of Elder Mine and a New Mineralized Zone Discovered 165 Meters Below the Main Zone
MONT-ST-HILAIRE, QUEBEC, CANADA -- (Marketwire) -- 05/16/11 -- Mr. Renaud Hinse, President and C.E.O. of Abcourt Mines Inc. (TSX VENTURE: ABI)(BERLIN: ABI)(FRANKFURT: ABI) (the 'Company'), is pleased to report that additional excellent results were obtained at the eastern end of the Elder mine located 10 km north-west from the town of Rouyn-Noranda. The mineralization remains open to the east, to the north and at depth.

NEW MINERALIZED ZONE DISCOVERED AT DEPTH.
Three of the holes drilled at the eastern end of the Elder mine were deepened and they intersected a new mineralized structure, 165 meters below the main zone. The rock types and alteration are identical to the main zone and it carries some gold. The best values were obtained in hole E11-56 with 3.2 meters grading 1.07 gram of gold per tonne. Additional holes will be drilled to locate an area of enrichment.

From 1944 to 1964, the Elder mine produced 350,000 ounces of gold.
In July 2009, a revision of the resources for the Elder property was completed by an independent qualified person, Mr Jean-Pierre Berube, P. Eng., consultant from Trois-Rivieres, Quebec. This revision was made according to NI 43-101 standards.

Meanwhile, a major drill program continues at Abcourt-Barvue Silver-Zinc Property near Val-d'Or, (more results pending). Drilling there is designed to upgrade and augment existing NI 43-101 all category reserves and resources.
