VANCOUVER, June 20, 2011 /CNW/ - PMI Gold Corporation (TSX.V: PMV) (ASX:
PVM) is pleased to advise that it has appointed several leading
international engineering and consultancy companies as key technical
advisors to the pre-feasibility Study on its 100%-owned Obotan Gold
Project, located in southern Ghana, West Africa.


Each of the companies - GR Engineering Services, SRK Consulting, Knight
Piésold Consulting and CSA Global - brings a depth of experience and
expertise in the evaluation and design of gold projects from around the
world and within West Africa. The appointment of this first class
pre-feasibility study team ensures PMI Gold is well placed to best
assess the potential of its significant gold resources at the Obotan
Gold Project.


GR Engineering Services


GR Engineering Services has extensive international experience in the
evaluation, design and construction of gold, nickel and base metal
process facilities and mine support projects, including recent
experience in the development of West African gold projects of a
similar nature to Obotan.


Of particular significance is the appointment of senior GR Engineering
project personnel who were involved in the original design and
development of the Obotan Project on behalf of the previous owner,
Resolute Mining Limited.  GR Engineering is responsible for:


-- Overall pre-feasibility Study project management;
-- Process and engineering services for the process plant facility
and associated services;
-- Engineering services for project infrastructure; and
-- Preparation and provision of the pre-feasibility document,
inclusive of input from PMI Gold and specialist consultants
SRK, Knight Piésold and CSA.


SRK Consulting


SRK Consulting is an internationally recognized leader in the mining
industry for the provision of geological and mining related
consultative services.  SRK Consulting is responsible for technical
design for:


-- Geological and resources studies;
-- Mining geotechnics;
-- Mine planning for surface mining;
-- Mine planning for underground mining; and
-- Provision of advice on the environmental impact assessment.


Knight Piésold Consulting


Knight Piésold Consulting provide specialized services to the mining
industry in the fields of geotechnical, geological, waste management
and water resource engineering, and has an established office and
presence in Ghana.  Knight Piésold has been involved in the evaluation
and engineering of services to many of the gold projects recently
developed in Ghana.  Knight Piésold is responsible for:


-- Tailings management;
-- Plant site foundations assessment;
-- Site water management studies; and
-- Waste rock and tailings geochemistry.


CSA Global


CSA Global is a multi-disciplinary services consultancy providing
geological database management, mining and sustainability services to
the mining industry.  CSA is responsible for:


-- Review of data capture, policies and procedures and develop
project database;
-- Development of best practices in data management; and
-- Development of PMI Gold's geographic information systems (GIS)


PMI Gold will have overall oversight of the pre-feasibility study, and
will maintain operating responsibility and provide the necessary
support to the pre-feasibility Study team, with particular
responsibility for:


-- Resource drilling, which is ongoing at the Obotan Gold Project
with 3 diamond rigs. An additional 2 rigs will become available
for PMI's drilling fleet within the coming months.
-- Metallurgical sample drilling;
-- Geotechnical sample drilling;
-- Hydrogeological drilling;
-- All permitting;
-- Management of environmental baseline study; and
-- Sociological and community assessment and relations.


The appointment of the Obotan Gold Project pre-feasibility team
represents a significant step for PMI Gold towards its objective of
becoming a significant West African gold producer. The appointment
ensures that PMI Gold remains on track for a resource upgrade at its
Obotan Gold Project in September 2011 and release of its Obotan Gold
Project pre-feasibility study in December 2011.


The CSA Global team is currently working with PMI Gold's technical team
at the Obotan Gold Project in Ghana.  Key members of the
pre-feasibility study team from GR Engineering Services, SRK Consulting
and Knight Piésold Consulting will visit the Obotan Gold Project next
week.
