James Hutton Appointed Director of Salazar Resources Ltd.
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 06/22/11 -- Salazar Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE: SRL)(FRANKFURT: CCG) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. James Hutton to the Board of Directors of the Company. Mr. Hutton joins Messrs Fredy Salazar, Pablo Acosta, Graeme Robinson, Nick DeMare and Etienne Walter as directors of the Company.
James Hutton has more than 25 year of experience in the financial services industry and has specialized in structured finance, resource company finance and M & A activities. Mr. Hutton is the President and CEO of Hutton Capital Corporation and Hutton Capital Management, both companies being involved with investment banking. Mr. Hutton has extensive experience in the junior resource sector and will be an asset to the Company.
Mr. Hutton was the founder president and CEO of the Canadian Dominion Resources Group of that raised, between 1998 and 2006, more than $1.4 billion in flow-through financings for the Canadian energy and mining sectors. During this period the Canadian Dominion Resources Group was one of the largest and most successful flow-through share funds in Canada. During Mr. Hutton's tenure, the Canadian Dominion Resource Group completed more than $800 million in offerings focussed on energy and mining companies exploring in Canada. The Dundee/Dynamic Mutual Fund acquired the Canadian Dominion Resources Group from Mr. Hutton. Mr. Hutton was also the President and CEO of the CMP Resource Group from 2003 to 2005.
