Contribution to fund five $10,000 fellowships for students pursuing
MBAs in sustainability

Alcoa Foundation has announced a $50,000 grant to Duquesne University′s
MBA Sustainabilityprogram to establish the Bill O′Rourke Alcoa
Corporate Sustainability Fellowship. The fellowship honors O′Rourke,
Vice President, Sustainability, Environment, Health and Safety, who will
retire from the company on August 31. O′Rourke will continue to serve on
the Alcoa Foundation Board of Directors.

O′Rourke joined Alcoa in 1975, shortly after he graduated from the
Duquesne University School of Law. He held numerous leadership roles
during his career with the Company including, Vice President of Global
Business Services and Chief Information Officer, Vice President of Audit
and head of corporate staff services, including financial shared
services, procurement and other administrative services. He also held
positions in Alcoa′s legal department as an assistant officer, corporate
patent counsel and as assistant general counsel.

'Bill promoted the highest standards in his work, demonstrated
outstanding leadership and has been committed to community service and a
champion of sustainability throughout his tenure with the company,? said
Paula Davis, President, Alcoa Foundation. 'It is a privilege to
recognize his legacy by supporting the next generation of sustainability
leaders.?

A $10,000 fellowship to help finance an MBA in Sustainability will be
granted to one graduate student per year over the next five years. The
program is an intensive 12-month, full-time program designed to meet the
demand for next-generation leaders who understand how planned growth,
ethics, community and the environment impact business strategy, value
creation and shareholder return. Fellowship recipients will conduct
research and share knowledge on emerging challenges relative to the
ethical management of social, environmental and financial resources.

'Alcoa has been a valued partner since the beginning of our MBA
Sustainability program in 2007,? said Dr. Alan Miciak, dean of the
Palumbo Donahue School of Business. 'The O′Rourke Alcoa Fellowship
continues our partnership to advance sustainable business thinking and
practice.?

Duquesne is ranked 18 in the world and second among schools of its size
by the Aspen Institute for integration of sustainability content into
its academic programs. In addition, the MBA Sustainability faculty won
the inaugural Page Prize for the best U.S. sustainability curriculum.

Admission to each year′s cohort is highly selective, with students from
around the world competing for only 25-35 positions. Since its launch in
fall 2007, more than half of each class has been composed of students
from beyond the Pittsburgh region including 19 states, the District of
Columbia, China, India, France and Korea.
