Newstrike Contracts Airborne Magnetic Survey-Guerrero Gold Belt, Mexico

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire - March 15, 2011) - Newstrike Capital Inc. (TSX VENTURE: NES) (“Newstrike“ or the “Company“) reports that Geotech Ltd. of Aurora, Ontario has been contracted to conduct a high- resolution airborne survey covering the Company's 'Aurea Norte' property in Guerrero, Mexico. The 2,486 line kilometer survey covers the northern portion of the property, including the 'Apetlanca' project area where prospecting has identified favorable alteration in surface outcrop that is typical for the Guerrero Gold Belt (“GGB“) mineralization model. The Apetlanca project area can be considered “on trend“ of the Ana Paula discovery.

Geotech's 3-axis airborne magnetic gradiometer is based on high-resolution optically pumped magnetic sensors that provides optimum target selection and is an excellent structural tool that will compliment Newstrike's current GGB exploration programs. The Aurea Norte property completely surrounds the Company's Ana Paula project where the ongoing drill program continues to delineate a 1 by 2 kilometer surface gold geochemistry anomaly that remains open in all directions.
