IC Potash Corp. Appoints Mr. Mark Frewin as Independent Director

(OTCQX: ICPTF), the New Mexico based Sulphate of Potash (SOP) development company, announced today that Mr. Mark Frewin has joined the Board of ICP effective immediately.Mr. Sidney Himmel, CEO and Director of the Company commented, 'We are delighted to have Mr. Frewin join our Board of Directors. This appointment demonstrates ICP's continued ability to attract high level talent to our Board and management. Mr. Frewin's appointment also provides considerable expertise in terms of executing our financial development strategy to enter into joint ventures, supply agreements, and credit facilities for the financing of our Ochoa Sulphate of Potash Project. Mr. Frewin joins Mr. Duane Parnham, previously announced as a Director of ICP. Mr. Frewin and Mr. Parnham recently achieved considerable success working together for the shareholders of UNX Energy, which was sold to HRT Participacoes em Petroleo S.A. for US$730 million.'
Mr. Mark Frewin is a partner at the law firm of McCarthy Tétrault, based in their London office, and was formerly a partner with the Wall Street law firm Milbank Tweed. Mr. Frewin has participated in numerous financings for mining and oil and gas companies, and has advised clients on the formation, financing and operation of joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, property option and earn-in agreements, metal sales contracts and hedging arrangements, and royalty agreements. Mr. Frewin received his MA from Cambridge University (Trinity Hall) and is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales.
