VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/03/11 -- Adroit Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE: ADT)(FRANKFURT: A7V)(BERLIN: A7V). Management is pleased to announce ongoing preparations for a winter drilling programme at the Company's Red Vein VMS property in the Shining Tree mining district of Ontario.
Grassy Lake Area Full Compilation Report. A compilation report with a view to defining drill targets for copper-gold vein systems, and copper, lead and zinc mineralization is expected shortly. Mount Morgan Resources Ltd of Winnipeg, Manitoba has been retained to undertake this report.
Little Pidgeon Lake Area. A winter drill road has been prepared, stretching from Grassy Road, 5 kilometers due east to Little Pidgeon Lake. Applications have been filed with the local Ministry of Natural Resources office in Gogoma to construct a water crossing leading into the proposed winter drill sites.
VTEM Surveys. The Company plans to undertake additional geophysical surveys to further delineate targets on both the Grassy Lake and Little Pidgeon Lake portions. A helicopter-borne VTEM survey is planned along with the extension of existing grids for more IP surveys.
Winter Drilling Plans. The Company plans to drill this coming winter on both the Little Pidgeon Lake and Grassy Lake portions of its Red Vein property.
Exploration Infrastructure Update. More infra-structure has been completed at the company's exploration base in Cobalt Ontario, with a state of the art core shack/storage warehouse adjacent to the company's Exploration office, nearing completion.
Continued Staking. The Company has continued its aggressive staking programme in this under-explored area of the Abitibi greenstone belt by increasing its Red Vein property to 926 from 734 contiguous claim units. (14,816 hectares from 11,744).
The area has long been an area of intense interest, located in the heart of the exploration triangle of the three large mining camps of Timmins, (80 km due North), Sudbury, (150 km due South), and Kirkland Lake (75 km Northeast) of Ontario. There are 30 VMS-type massive sulphide deposits with over 200,000 tonnes of mineralization within 200 km of the Red Vein property. This includes Kidd Creek in Timmins with 147,880,000 tonnes grading 2.31% copper, 6.18% zinc and 87 g/t silver and the Horne, H&G Ore bodies in Noranda with 53,700,000 tonnes grading 2.2% copper and 6.10 g/t gold. There are numerous historical copper showings on the property and gold showings abound in the surrounding area. The property is located approximately 10 km north-west of the former Tyranite Gold Mine and 8 km south of the Sothman nickel deposit (see News Release dated October 6th, 2008).
