Peabody Energy Names Chris A. Shelton Vice President of Applied Technology
ST. LOUIS, Nov. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Peabody Energy announced today it has named Chris A. Shelton as Vice President of Applied Technology.
Shelton will lead a team of technical and engineering professionals to implement solutions that enhance operational performance across Peabody's global platform. In this role, he will oversee the use of data and analytics, mining technology and monitoring systems to strengthen safety and productivity, improve efficiencies, and automate processes. Shelton will report to Jeane L. Hull, Executive Vice President of Technical Services.
With more than 14 years experience, Shelton has held engineering, technical services and project management roles across the resources, manufacturing and aerospace sectors. Prior to Peabody, Shelton served as a Senior Solutions Consultant - Advanced Solutions with Honeywell in Houston. He provided consulting, program and project management services for global-scale automation and decision support projects at Honeywell.
