Asian Activities Report for December 2: Minmetals Reports 103.9% Increase in Zinc Ore Reserves
Sydney, Australia (ABN Newswire) - Minmetals Resources Limited (HKG: 1208) announced its Mineral Resources and Ore Reserve Statement as at 30 June 2011 with a 103.9% increase in zinc Ore Reserves. Reserve gains are mostly due to the inclusion of the Dugald River Ore Reserve for the first time. Dugald River is an undeveloped zinc deposit located in North West Queensland, Australia. It is expected to produce approximately 2 million tonnes of ore and 200,000 tonnes of zinc in zinc concentrate per annum with an estimated mine life of over 22 years. Minmetals Resources Limited will invest A$157 million to develop the next stage of the Dugald River project.
