China Gold Restates Drill Intercepts by Removing Composite Averaging: Intercepts Include 185.58 Meters Grading 0.93 g/t Au

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/21/11 -- China Gold International Resources Corp. Ltd. (TSX: CGG)(HKSE: 2099) (the 'Company') is issuing this news release to clarify drill results from its 108 hole diamond drill program at its CSH gold mine located in Inner Mongolia, China by removing the composite averages provided in the original press release.
The Company's 108-drillhole (59,145 meter) exploration program, completed on schedule in November 2011 at the minesite, focused on defining and expanding the current resource at the operation. Results will be used to complete an updated mineral resource estimate below the existing open pit. All of the assay results were received in late November 2011. Highlights of the 2011 drill program from the recently received assay results include intercepts of 185.58 meters (true width) grading 0.93 g/t Au in hole DDH9800-3 and 177.32 meters (true width) grading 0.77 g/t Au in hole DDH9900-1.

Quality Control and Quality Assurance:
Due to the large amount of samples to be assayed, two internationally recognized well known labs were chosen to perform the assays. One is the SGS Tianjin Lab and the other ALS Chemex Guangzhou lab, both in China. At the SGS Tianjin Lab China and ALS Chemex Guangzhou Lab, the samples were dried, pulverized to approximately 95%-pass 200 mesh (75um).
The gold content was determined using the standard 30-gram fire assay followed by Atomic Absorption techniques. About 10% of the samples that were assayed above 0.2 ppm Au were checked by a third lab, the ITS Shanghai Lab, which is also an internationally well recognized lab. China Gold, SGS and ALS all maintain comprehensive and independent Quality Control/Quality Assurance programs.

Mario Rossi, M.Sc., Min. About CSH Mine
The CSH Mine is an open pit, heap leaching gold mine located in Inner Mongolia of China, approximately 210km northwest of the city of Baotou. Production has increased each year since commercial production was reached in 2008. The total commercial gold production in 2008 was 33,671 ounces, 83,570 ounces in 2009 and 111,000 ounces in 2010. Production guidance to 2011 is estimated to reach 120,000 to 125,000 ounces (92,244 ounces year to date as of September 30, 2011). Currently the 2011 drilling program is complete at the minesite, and a full evaluation on the mine's potential for gold mineralization is in progress.
