Macarthur Minerals Appoints New Director
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire - June 28, 2011) - Macarthur Minerals Limited (TSX VENTURE: MMS) (OTCQX: MMSDF) ("the Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Jon Starink as a non-executive director.
Jon is a Chartered Professional Engineer with over 35 years practical experience in the mining industry, particularly in the areas of process design, engineering design, project management and technical project audit & financial evaluation. He also has a strong background in corporate finance and strategic business development.
Jon's qualifications include a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering (Hons1), a Bachelor of Science (Hons1) and a Master of Applied Science. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers, Australia and a Fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineers.
Jon is presently serving as a director of Gippsland Limited (ASX:GIP) and has previously held executive board positions with Peninsular Gold Limited (AIM:PGL) and Adelong Consolidated Gold Mines NL (ASX listed). He also provides advisory services on a consultancy basis to an UK broker and nominated adviser and previously provided consultancy services to SBC Warburg's Corporate Finance Department (Melbourne).
