Rockgate Capital Intersects 0.55% U3O8 and 422 g/t Silver Over 2 m, Falea Uranium-Silver-Copper Project

26.07.2011  |  Marketwire
VANCOUVER, July 26, 2011 - Rockgate Capital Corp. (TSX: RGT) (the “Company“) is pleased to announce assay results from 13 infill diamond drill holes completed in the North Zone. Seven of the 13 holes lie along an east-west section between the Plateau Edge Structure (PES) and the Road Fault helping to define a new trend of high-grade uranium and silver mineralization from the Road Fault east across the PES. Highlights of the program are presented in Table 1.

Table 1: Drill Highlights

Hole Name From (m) To (m) Length (m) U3O8% XRF Ag (g/tonne) Cu %

All reported intervals are true widths.

Rockgate president Karl Kottmeier commented, “The discovery of high grade uranium and silver well outside of the Plateau Edge Structure area is very exciting. This gives us even greater confidence that additional high grade mineralization may be resident within and outside of the known Falea resource area.“

Section 1 360 425 N

Seven diamond drill holes were aligned along section 1 360 425 N at a hole spacing of approximately 50 metres, between the Road Fault and the PES. Table 2 lists drill holes along the section from east to west.

East of Road Fault

North of Section 1 360 425 N, four diamond drill holes show significant variability in both uranium and silver grades. The best hole, DF-326 returned 0.55% U3O8 and 422.0 g/t Ag over 2 metres. The strong yet variable grades in this area may reflect the lack of an observed single strong controlling structure between the PES and the North Fault. Additional drilling is planned to cover this area in the next few weeks.

South of Section 1 360 425 N

Two diamond drill holes tested south of Section 1 360 425 N. DF-362, drilled 50 metres south of DF-366, intersected strong silver mineralization associated with variable uranium mineralization over a true width of 8.0 metres. DF-359 lies 125 metres southeast of DF-363. Further drilling is required to define the southern boundary of the North Zone, which remains open to the east, northeast, southeast, west, and northwest.

2011 Drill Program

The Company is currently conducting an extensive program of diamond drilling at Falea with 3 components.

- Infill drilling is focusing on upgrading the identified resources within the North Zone. Further drilling is planned to expand the Plateau Edge Structure.

- Step-out drilling is extending identified mineralized trends outside the currently defined resource boundaries. At North Zone, west-southwest and east-northeast mineralized trends continue to be tested. Step-out drilling is also planned for Central Zone and Bodi Zone. The latter represents a significant near-surface, bulk tonnage target.

- Exploration drilling is currently targeting the Bodi area to the south and the Zhang or West area to the west. Some drilling has been completed at the Kania and East Zones to the east and more is planned.

- Three diamond drills are now active at Falea. Mobilization of a fourth drill to site is being organized.

- The Falea Sedimentary Basin appears to be similar in age and geological setting to the Athabasca Basin in Canada.

- To date, less than 10 percent of area hosting down-hole radiometric anomalies has been drill tested.

Christopher J. Wild, P.Eng., Project Manager for Falea, is the Qualified Person for the Company under NI 43-101. All core samples are cut in half on site and sent to ALS-Chemex in Bamako for direct shipment to ALS-Chemex in Johannesburg, South Africa, for ICP-MS and XRF analysis. The Company inserts a standard, blank and requests a duplicate sample be run in every batch of 20 samples. In addition, the lab inserts in-house blanks, standards, and duplicates with each shipment. Data that falls outside the control limits are checked and repeated as necessary.
