Strike Gold Corp. Announces $1,000,000 Financing

January 12, 2012: Vancouver, BC - Strike Gold Corp. (TSXv: SRK) (the “Company” or “Strike”) announces that it has arranged, subject to TSX Venture Exchange acceptance, a private placement of up to 5,714,286 units at $0.175 per unit for total gross proceeds of up to $1,000,000. Each unit will consist of one common share and one-half of one transferable share purchase warrant, each whole warrant exercisable into one additional common share for a period of two years at a price of $0.25 per share.Proceeds of the placement will be used for exploration work on the Company’s graphite properties and for general working capital.
Finders’ fees will be payable with respect to the placement pursuant to the policies of the TSX Venture Exchange.
