North Bay Resources Inc. (NBRI) Issues Ruby Gold Project Update
- A program of general inspection has now commenced, with the objective being the repair and maintenance of the underground workings in preparation for the start-up of operations.
- The Company is presently soliciting bids from qualified mining contractors to restore proper ventilation to the Ruby Mine underground workings. The work will include clearing the underground workings of extraneous debris and re-timbered as-needed from the Ruby Portal to the secondary exit at the Lawry Shaft. In addition to the production and safety benefits, this work program will also extend the underground workings available for the geological reconnaissance and digital mapping survey previously announced in a Company press release on June 6, 2011.
- The Lawry Shaft hoist system will be serviced and inspected by a qualified professional to meet MSHA safety compliance requirements.
- A qualified electrician will be engaged to inspect, repair as-needed, and certify all electric power systems needed for production. PG&E will also be consulted, and any other certifications and deposits that may be required will be made so that PG&E power is restored to the Ruby Mine site.
- The placer wash plant and quartz mill facilities will be tuned up and made ready for production. Any needed repairs will be made at this time.
The Company will continue to inform shareholders of all new developments as we proceed forward to the reopening of the Ruby Mine and the start of gold production.
