VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire - April 20, 2012) - Nevada Sunrise Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE: NEV) (the "Company") announces that Richard Kehmeier has resigned from the board of directors effective April 19, 2012. The board of directors thanks Mr. Kehmeier for his contribution to the Company. Mr. Kehmeier will continue to act a technical consultant and Qualified Person for the Company.In addition, the Company is pleased to announce the appointment of two new directors, Cory Kent and Suraj Ahuja.
Mr. Kent is a securities lawyer and partner with a national law firm. He has over 15 years experience with public companies and currently serves on the board of Starcore International Ventures Ltd. and PNI Digital Media Inc.
Mr. Ahuja is a recognized geologist with over 40 years of mineral exploration and management experience in Canada, USA and South America. In 2001, he established SKAN Consulting Inc. and provides consulting services to several major and junior exploration companies on mineral exploration projects in North and South America. He currently serves on the board of UEX Corporation.
The appointment of Mr. Kent and Mr. Ahuja was made effective concurrently with the resignation of Mr. Kehmeier.
