Cloud Peak Energy Inc. Announces Girish Hemrajani as Vice President and Treasurer

Cloud Peak Energy Inc. (NYSE:CLD), one of the largest U.S. coal producers and the only pure-play Powder River Basin (PRB) coal company, announced today that Girish Hemrajani has joined the Company as Vice President and Treasurer.Mr. Hemrajani has over 20 years′ experience in treasury, finance and accounting and was most recently Vice President and Treasurer at ION Geophysical Corporation, a NYSE listed global seismic solutions company based in Houston. He has extensive international experience, including Asian joint venture structuring and acquisitions and has worked for public corporations in the energy, manufacturing and consumer products industries.
Mr. Hemrajani received his Masters of Business Administration from William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration, University of Rochester in Rochester, NY and is a Chartered Accountant from India. Additionally, he received both his Master of Commerce and Bachelor of Commerce in India.
Mr. Hemrajani will be responsible for all aspects of the Company′s Treasury function, including corporate finance, cash management and Treasury operations.
