Queenston Strengthens Project Team
TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 06/14/12 -- QUEENSTON MINING INC. (TSX: QMI)(FRANKFURT: QMI)(OTCQX: QNMNF) ("Queenston or the Company") is pleased to announce the addition of key project personnel for our flagship Upper Beaver gold-copper project located near Kirkland Lake, Ontario and the hiring of a Director of Corporate Communications who is based in our Toronto corporate office.
Jack Ayotte has joined Queenston as Project Manager of the underground advanced exploration program at Upper Beaver. Mr. Ayotte has broad experience in mining construction projects spanning 30 years and has held positions including general manager, area manager, project manager, site superintendent and site engineer. His expertise is in managing major capital projects involving civil and underground mining construction and, most recently, Mr. Ayotte was Construction Manager at the Lalor Mine in Manitoba operated by Hudbay Minerals Inc.
Randy Blais, P. Eng., a graduate of Haileybury School of Mines and Laurentian University, has joined Queenston as Mine Engineer. Mr. Blais will be responsible for the underground mine design of our flagship Upper Beaver project, as well as for internal scoping studies of our other mineral assets in the Kirkland Lake Camp. Mr. Blais has been employed for 25 years in the mining sector in a variety of engineering/operational roles and most recently was Chief Mine Engineer at the Young-Davidson Mine operated by AuRico Gold Inc. located near Matachewan, Ontario.
Queenston welcomes David Donovan, MBA, CFA, a graduate of the Richard Ivey School of Business as Director of Corporate Communications for the Company. Mr. Donovan has experience in capital markets and for the past 8 years has been employed in equity research with Raymond James Limited, MGI Securities and, most recently, RBC Capital Markets. Mr. Donovan will manage all marketing, communications and investor relations for the Company.
