Orvana Announces May Operations Update for El Valle-Boinas/Carles Gold/Copper Mine, Northern Spain

TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 06/19/12 -- Orvana Minerals Corp. (TSX: ORV) (the "Company") is pleased to announce, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Kinbauri Espana S.L.U. ("Kinbauri"), an update of operations for its El Valle-Boinas/Carles ("EVBC") gold-copper mine in northern Spain.


May production was 5,259 ounces of gold, 505,000 pounds of copper, and 14,122 ounces of silver (see table below). Estimated direct cash operating cost, including royalties, was approximately $600/ounce of gold, net of by-product revenues, approximately $100 per ounce lower than the April cost (see May 23, 2012 press release).
