Elemental Minerals Announces Appointment of Robert Franklyn as Non-Executive Director

PERTH, Australia, July 17, 2012 /CNW/ - Elemental Minerals Ltd. (ASX, TSX: ELM) ("Elemental" or "the Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Geoffrey Franklyn as an independent non-executive director of the Company, effective immediately. Mr. Franklyn has a broad range of experience in the legal sector, specialising in corporate governance and high profile mergers and acquisitions. He has provided advisory services in Australia and cross-border, advising companies listed on a range of international exchanges including ASX, TSX, JSE, NASDAQ, NYSE, AIM and LSE. Mr. Franklyn has also advised on a number of African transactions and has experience dealing with Chinese State Owned Enterprises.

Mr. Franklyn has been Partner at Corrs Chambers Westgarth since 2010 and has over 22 years' experience as a corporate lawyer. He began his career at Freehills and was as a partner at that firm from 1996 to 2005 before forming Franklyn Legal, a boutique M&A corporate law firm.  .

Mr. Franklyn holds a B Juris, LLB from the University of Western Australia and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Law Council of Australia Business Law Committee as well as an ASIC and ASX Liaison committee member.
