Company submits Environmental Act Proposal

TORONTO, CANADA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/05/12 -- BacTech Environmental Corporation ("BacTech" or the "Company") (CNSX: BAC)(OTC: BCCEF)(WKN: A1H4TY) today announced that it has commenced Field Investigation on the future bioleach remediation processing plant site at Snow Lake, Manitoba.

The Field Investigation includes the drilling of deep test holes with a continuous flight auger drill rig. Samples will be collected at regular intervals during the drilling program for analysis, and the installation of Piezometers to monitor the groundwater table. The investigation results will provide detailed site conditions to begin the Front End Engineering Design ("FEED") - civil specifications for the plant and tank farm areas.

In addition, the Company also reports that the Environmental Act Proposal ("EAP") was submitted to the Director of the Environmental Assessment and Licensing Branch, Manitoba Conservation and Water Stewardship. The EAP was completed by Golder Associates Ltd. of Winnipeg, Manitoba, under direction by the BacTech technical team.

"Both of these events move us one step closer to realizing our objectives, that being building North America's first bioleach plant for tailings reclamation, and in this case, the remediation of approximately 300,000 tonnes of arsenopyrite concentrate impounded on the surface," said Ross Orr, President and CEO of BacTech.

The Company continues to field enquiries globally with respect to additional opportunities for remediation.
