NOT FOR DISTRIBUTION TO UNITED STATES NEWSWIRE SERVICES OR FOR DISSEMINATION IN THE UNITED STATES.PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA -- (Marketwire - Jan. 16, 2013) - Marengo Mining (Australia) Limited (TSX:MRN) (ASX:MMC) (POMSoX:MMC) - As announced on Friday, 11 January 2013, the restructure of Marengo Australia to redomicile to Canada by way of a Scheme of Arrangement (Scheme) was implemented.
On implementation, Marengo Australia's shareholders were issued common shares or depositary interests in a new Canadian Company which was initially known as Marengo Mining Canada Limited (ASX Code: "MMC", TSX Code: "MRN", POMSoX Code: "MMC") (Marengo Canada). Marengo Canada's name has now changed to Marengo Mining Limited effective from Monday, 14 January 2013.
Marengo Australia's name change from Marengo Mining Limited to Marengo Mining (Australia) Limited became effective on Friday, 11 January 2013.
Marengo Australia will delist from the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) and Port Moresby Stock Exchange (POMSoX) from the close of trading today. Marengo Australia ceased trading from market close on Thursday, 3 January 2013.
